On Mother's Day:

To Mothers Young and Old and In-Between,

To Mothers who Have lost,

To Mothers who Feel lost,

To Mothers who will Soon be,

To those who Dream to be Mothers,

To Mothers in Spirit,

To the Mothers who are Tired and Weary,

To the Mothers full of Hope and Joy,

To the Mothers battling Sadness and Despair,

To the Mothers living their Ordinary lives,

To the Mothers carrying the Weight of this World,

To those who may soon be Mothers, but Fear what is to come,

To those who may have become Mothers against their will,

To Mothers asked to choose an impossible choice,

To Mothers who are afraid they may lose their ability to choose their best lives,

To Mothers who are grateful to have become a Mother

To Mothers who are unsure if they should've been a Mother to begin with,

To Mothers who are grieving...

Please Remember this:

Mother's Day is a Day to recognize Mothers. It may be a day of celebration for some, and it can also be a day of reminiscing or mourning to others.

It does not matter where you are at in motherhood. Mothers are individuals with different experiences. Being a Mother does not need to be all that you are, but it remains a part of who you are - and we acknowledge and recognize that, and this day is to remind us of that.

Today is simply a day to Honor the Mothers in the world, because the path to motherhood and the path during motherhood is full of sacrifice, love, joy, sadness, frustrations, difficult decisions, and even sometimes regret or resentment. Very often, society takes Mothers for granted, despite the immense responsibility expected of them, with little support or understanding to bolster this responsibility.

This day is to Honor all Mothers on their paths and journeys, because it's not an easy path.

Therefore, to all Mothers above on Mothers day.... I wish you a day of peace, grace, and a little joy... and much time to yourself to just be you without feeling the weight of this world on your shoulders.
